Care Package

Recently Gigi sent Chloe
some fun stuff from the
States. She loves her little
monkey and had a great
time playing with the tape
from all the packages.

Though its not yet the
weather for it, Chloe is already
having a great time playing
dress up with her little Poodle
cape.

Kids & Watermelon

A good combination for good photos. Mike shot these at his "Work-do" BBQ at Cornwall Park. This was Chloe's first taste of watermelon and I'd say she loved it! Personally, I've never been a big fan of watermelon as it just felt so gross and sticky on my fingers, but now that I'm a Mum, I'd no longer categorize watermelon as the "messy" food I used to think of it as. Maybe I reserve that title for hand-eaten blueberries or for when Chloe feeds herself yoghurt with a spoon.

Baby Shower

Krystal, Naomi, & Amy managed to COMPLETELY surprise me with a baby shower. They had a little help from Mike and he even came up w/ a plan to be sure I'd be appropriately dressed and ready to go! They took me away to have a manicure/pedicure and then we met up with several friends at Cornwall Park for a picnick and presents. It was such a nice time and a wonderful way to celebrate before baby arrives. We're now only about two weeks away!

Building Chloe's New Bed

She definitely wanted to help and even used the power tool! She must be her Daddy's daughter!

Waitangi Day

Waitangi Day represents the contract between the native Maori
and the British Colonials. Chloe saw it as an opportunity to define
her taste in balloons. Clearly, she's moved beyond the little round
ones from her birthday cake.

Seesaw Built for Two under Two

Chloe and her friend from coffeegroup, Tyke, on a seesaw just their size.
Mums and bubs alike had a great time this day at Western Springs Park,
picnicking, chatting, and watching our kiddos have fun together!

A Matter of Choice

Though she's only 16 months old, lately Chloe's less into direct orders and more
about having a couple of choices. Would you like to get dressed standing up
or lying down? Do you want to read your book while we get dressed?
Shall we change your nappy on the change table or on the floor mat? Amazing
how the cooperation insues, by just offering a couple of choices. Aren't we all kind
of like that?

stick walker

we had a visitor drop in (improved version). I polished up some of the transitions - much better now. Note: the last 2 posted videos and those in the foreseeable future are recorded on a Nikon Coolpix 7600 point and shoot camera. We're off now to Auckland '08 festival which is boasting the biggest fireworks show in NZ history - look for some nice posts soon.

The Hobbit Cloak

Since we're in NZ, I suppose its possible our little one is actually a hobbit. Cute little hobbit, eh?
