Favorite Outfit

Since our Moms arrived, Chloe has become quite fashionable....from Gap to Ralph Lauren and anything pink in between! But, her favorite outfite continues to be her birthday suit! And, isn't she cute in it!

Chloe Goes to Waiheke

Chloe took her first ferry ride with her grandmothers to Waiheke Island. It poured rain on us part of the time, but we just took cover in a book store and otherwise had a beautiful day. The moms enjoyed some ginger beer on the ferry while Chloe enjoyed her lunch under the discretion of her Modest Mommy privacy tent. We had a laugh on the way back when we discovered that our order of "Fish & Chips" had been interpreted as "Chips & Chips!" I've never seen so many french fries in my life!

Supervising

How many mothers does it take to bathe a baby? Apparently it takes all of us! Mostly because bathtime is just so much fun!  Posted by Picasa

Our adopted family

Our Moms were so glad to get to meet our surrogate New Zealand family. We spent an evening at Francine's house out in the country where she has sheep to keep her lawn mowed and her neighbor has horses. Beautiful. The country & the family.

Mimi C's First Look

I just remember Mom saying, "Oh, Kimberly, she's SOOOO precious. Oh, Kimberly, she's SOOOO gorgeous!"  Posted by Picasa

The Moms' Visit

Chloe must be the most spoiled little baby that was ever carried around in a capsule! The mom's had a great time taking us to dinner, touring around Auckland, & staring at their grandbaby! What a blessing they were to us! They did everything from make us meals to paying for hotels to cleaning our bathroom and burping the baby! Though Mike and I really enjoyed our bonding time in the first week of Chloe's life, we couldn't have survived those early weeks without our Mums! How else would Chloe have gotten to, "Stay & taste her first champaigne."

Baby's First Bath

Chloe loved her first bath! I think she thought she was back in the womb! She even tried to sneak sips of bath water! Afterwards, we snugged her up in her new robe, given to her by her Aunt Julie & Uncle Chris.

Gigi's First Look!

Vivian arrived on October 13th and got her first look at Chloe as a 9-day-old baby girl. It was a beautiful moment. I believe some healing took place. We're glad to have her here!

"Behold children are a gift of the Lord. The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man who's quiver is full of them!" Psalm 127:3-5 Posted by Picasa

Visitors, Food, Flowers!!!

We had no idea how many friends we had until Chloe arrived. Maybe its Chloe who has so many friends (smile)! Our small group at church got together and blessed us abundantly by providing meals for us for 2 weeks! Every evening we dined on homemade meals of Indian food (Mike's favorite), a South African dish, Kiwi Style roasts (we were introduced to Parsnips...yum!), and all kinds of desserts! Wow...God loves us and knows just what we need! Not only that but He even goes so far as to meet the desires of our hearts! We received many gifts and our apartment was covered in flowers....Gerbera daisies (my favorite) included! People even sent flowers to us International FTD style from Spiros.co.nz and they were absolutely gorgeous!
